Deputy President William Ruto's Kirinyaga rally has been marred with 2022 politics as Waiguru and Ngirici face off.
In a brief stopover in Kianyaga Kirinyaga County,Wangui Ngirici faced off with a hostile crowd who forced her cut short speech.
Governor Anne Waiguru managed to capture locals' attention and she was given thunderous chants.
In her address,Waiguru said she's ready for the UDA nomination and no one should intimidate her.
Deputy President William Ruto however distanced himself from Kirinyaga politics but assures that UDA is ready to conduct free and fair nominations.
"UDA is a national party and everyone is welcomed on board. There will be free and fair nomination.Everyone will be given equal opportunity,"said Dp Ruto
Waiguru's entry to UDA has caused discomfort on Wangui Ngirici's side who on several occasions accused some of DP's allies for interfering with Kirinyaga politics.
The UDA brigade is expected to hold several rallies in Kirinyaga.
