Latest Official Presidential Results As At Monday morning

Nearly a week after Kenyans cast their votes, the counting process—particularly for the presidential race—has proceeded, proceeding far more slowly than anticipated. At the Bomas of Kenya, the National Tallying Center, officials from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) are still busy confirming the results.

Days later, Kenya's election day came. Kenyans cast their votes heavily for candidates running for a range of optional positions in the government, from the president to county meeting people. After the IEBC finished counting the votes, a number of the leaders received their results and were proclaimed winners.

By this morning at 6am, Deputy President William Ruto was still in the lead among the four candidates for President who ran in the August 9th election, according to results tabulated and updated by Nation Media Group. The DP was the only candidate to have received more over six million votes thus far, with a lead of 6,081,048 votes over Raila Odinga, who was in a close second with 5,734,314.
