Political wave is changing day by day as we approach general election of Kenya. The long awaited general election of Kenya will be held on ninth August 2022. The vocal, persuasive and powerful politicians in the presidential race include current Deputy president of Kenya William Samoei Ruto, former prime minister Raila Odinga, Jimmy Wanjigi, Ekuru Ekot, George Wajackoya, Mwangi Wa Iria and others.
There are two alliance overwhelming the impact in Kenya, that is Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance led former prime minister Raila Odinga and Kenya Kwanza led by Deputy president William Ruto. Raila Odinga picked Martha Karua as his running mate while Deputy president William Ruto picked Mathira member of parliament Rigathi Gachagua as his running mate. 
Azimio La Umoja seems to get support from incumbent president Uhuru Kenyatta and several times he has publicly said he support Azimio. President Uhuru Kenyatta longest serving bodyguard has been spotted guarding Martha Karua at Embu rally.
