The clock is gradually ticking towards the eagerly awaited August ninth general elections. The presidential contest that is fiercely pitting Deputy President William Samoei Ruto of Kenya Kwańza Alliance and Raila Amolo Odinga of Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance is keenly and anxiously watched by millions of Kenyans.
Raila and Ruto have equally settled on their running mates from the vote-rich Mount Kenya region. Ruto is being deputised by Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua while Narc Kenya party leader Martha Wangari Karua is deputising the former Prime Minister.
Raila-Karua ticket has attracted a lot of enthusiasm across the political divide with Kenyans praising and castigation it in equal measure depending on one's political affiliation.
Opening up on her love for Raila-Karua ticket through her Twitter account, Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Wanjiru Chege has described the pair as the people's choice as far as the forthcoming presidential contest is concerned.
Chege is among the key lieutenants of Raila and Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition party in the vast Mount Kenya region.
