On the 8th of February 2022 His excellency President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta visited Barka, a popular restaurant in Mombasa County. This is his second day for the president Uhuru to tour Mombasa in row. Uhuru has been noted to always take his pilau there whenever he visits Mombasa. This happened a few hours after the president had given his speech in a different location where he took on the deputy president, DR william Samoei Ruto politically on the Succession Dilemma.
At the Barka restaurant Uhuru had gone for lunch where he was accompanied by Honorable Ali Hassan Joho and Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir. On the 23rd of January in the year 2019 Uhuru and Ruto have history where they visited the same Barka restaurant for lunch. 
Barka restaurant which is located in Mombasa Old Town has changed to Uhuru Kenyatta favorite eatery, the restaurant was fabricated to create endless ambiance entertainment to dinners as well as create an aesthetic appeal to the place.
