Jubilee party purge continued today with the Deputy Secretary General being shown the door. Soi member of Parliament Caleb Kositany has been at the helm of Jubilee party since 2013 when the party won the election. A letter posted on twitter by the Jubilee party stated that the party had officials had met and deliberated on rye issue before deciding to kick out Kositany.
In an interview last week a leading media station in the country, the party Chairman David Murathe had told Mr Kositany that he would be expelled from the party this day and true to his words the Deputy Secretary General has been shown the door. The Soi legislator has always maintained that Jubilee party is a shell and it lack democracy after the March 2018 handshake between the president and the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
He has been very active in campaigning for the United Democratic Alliance(UDA) candidate a party linked to the Deputy President William Ruto. Most of Dr Ruto's allies have said that they have shifted their allegiance to the UDA and some have even said they will seek re-elections in 2022 using the new party.
