Atwoli argues that ever since the handshake between President Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga in 2018, a rift developed within the executive that has led Ruto to publicly criticize the current regime instead of supporting it and this will end up ruining his chances of occupying State House once President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure.is over.
Ruto's ideological group UDA has prominently won three bi-races in the locale and acquired partners simultaneously and this has persuaded some to think that individuals of the Mount Kenya area have favored Ruto and his partners yet Atwoli accepts this isn't the situation.
"How did each area government inside the mountain district acknowledge the BBI proposition when many idea that they would be against it? In case you are to ask the Mountain locale for votes you need to go through the administration of the space. Ruto isn't a child of Wanjiru or Wambui so he can't deal with the mountain area," said Atwoli.
