Kirinyaga Youths State The Blunder Ruto Did During His Sunday Tour as They Send Him Urgent Message

A section of youths from Kirinyaga County have expressed their disappointment in Deputy President William Ruto for allowing leaders from other counties to dictate them on who they should elect come next year during his Sunday's tour in the county.

Speaking to the media on Friday December 3, the youths selectively hit on Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru for campaigning for Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, despite Kirinyaga's Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici being part of the Ruto's convoy.

Ngirici and Waiguru are both seeking the gubernatorial seat under UDA Party, although Ngirici says she has taken a step back in her political career and is strategizing before making her next move known.

"We were not happy that Ruto brought leaders from other counties to tell us who we should vote for and who we should not. Since 2017, we know the leader who has been with us, and it is us who knows the problems we face as Kirinyaga residents," some of the youths said.

Despite the youths mostly boda boda riders affirming their support for Ruto's presidential bid and further welcoming him again, they urged him to keep off from the county politics and focus on his presidential candidature.

They also claimed that there were unfamiliar faces during Ruto's tour, which they allege had been ferried by Ngirici's opponents to heckle her.
