Nairobi is arguably the most important city in the country. It is the capital city of Kenya with a huge population, many companies have their headquarters there and also hosts the Embassies of various countries.
This means that the city requires a very experienced and strong leadership come August 9th General Election. Many politicians, businessmen, businesswomen and celebrities have publicly announced their intention to vie for political seats in Nairobi.
One of the politicians who wants to vie for the Nairobi Woman Representative seat is ODM's Elizabeth Ongoro. Ongoro wants to unseat the incumbent Esther Passaris. Today, she officially launched her election campaign in Nairobi. This is according to a social media post by Halima Kiongozi that read, "It is all joy and celebration as Elizabeth Ongoro unveils her bid for Nairobi County Women Representative 2022."
The social media post was then followed by photos showing jubilant women dancing at the campaign launching ceremony.
