General elections are around the corner with only less than 78 days remaining for elections to take place on 9th August 2022 in the six elective seats available.
As elections draw near, the intergrity commission has written to the independent electoral and boundaries commission advising them not to clear deputy president nominee aspirant Rigathi Gachagua, Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino, Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru and former Nairobi governor Sonko over questionable intergrity.
Rigathi Gachagua is on spot over corruption allegations that led to freezing of his personal account, the Mathira legislator is accussed of doing business with the national government and county government of Nyeri involving dubios deals.
Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino is of questionable character after he shot DJ Evolve, Waiguru is still haunted by corruption cases in Kirinyaga county and the NYS scandal while Sonko is on spot over impeachment from office as a governor for Nairobi.
