What Tim Wanyonyi Said in Parliament After Wetangula (His Brother) Gave Him A Chance To Speak

In the Kenyan political arena it is very rare to fire brothers or siblings from one family sharing a political platform. During this 13th parliament, Moses Wetangula will be sharing a platform at the national assembly with his younger brother Timothy Wanyonyi.

Moses Wetangula who is the party leader of Ford Kenya party and a top principal in the Kenya Kwanza government was elected as the speaker of the national assembly after the 9th August 2022 general elections, it is a coincidence that Tim Wanyonyi who is a brother to wetangula is an elected MP for Westlands constituency.

Today it was a priviledge for the two blood brothers after Wetangula gave Wanyonyi an opportunity to speak in parliament, Wanyonyi congratulated his brother having been elected as the speaker and Gladys Shollei for her election as deputy speaker. Wanyonyi went ahead to support president Ruto's move to amend standing orders so that cabinet secretaries can be summoned in parliment and asked questions, he says that the move will be of great help for keeping the executive in check.

Thank you.
