As Kenyans eagerly anticipate the outcome, political tension remains high. However, the Jubilee party has already scheduled a press conference for this afternoon to address Kenyans following the victory of some of its candidates. DP Jeremiah Kioni congratulated those who stayed and refrained from joining DP Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party during his speech.
Jeremiah Kioni stated that had those who desired to defect done so, William Ruto would have been inaugurated as president of Kenya three days ago.
Jeremiah Kioni stated, "This team's April message explained why we should avoid UDA, and a larger portion of the population heeded the message and remained cautious."
He stated in his speech that they are not resentful of anything that has come to light. He stated that they are grateful for the outcome and are prepared for anything that may arise by the end of the day.
