Kenyans React As Zambia's President Uses Passenger Plane To Fly To The US

President Hakainde Hichilema.

Being a president in Africa is a dream many people hold dear due to many privileges accorded to the holders of the office.

Infact, the easiest way to accumulate Wealth in Africa is by joining politics hence the cut throat competitions during campaigns for various positions with elections marred with violence.

Nevertheless, there is one president in Africa who has defied the odds and has decided to do things differently.

Zambia's newly elected president Hakainde Hichilema was elected on the platform of change having beaten the incumbent Mr Lungu.

Since his election to Office, Hichilema has been doing things differently including holding prayers at the presidential palace.

In a move likely to be seen as an effort to cut down on wastage, the president left for new York to attend the UN general assembly aboard a passenger plane.

Moreso, the president kept his delegation lean and functional, more productive and cost effective.

Kenyans who reacted online hailed the move by the new president asking their leaders locally to borrow a leaf.

However, another one Differed with him saying that even if Kenyan leaders borrowed the whole tree, nothing will change.

Another one by the name ahamed njonge said that that it's how most leaders begin but later on they get drunk with Power and forget the cause. Below are the screenshots of their Reactions online.

Do you think it's a noble thing for presidents to use cost effective measures like this ones at the expense of the so called security? Feel free to share your thoughts and comments on this on our comments platform.
