Vocal Ruto Ally 'Supports' Nyeri Governor After Stating That Mt Kenya Residents Don't Want History

While hosting the former Prime Minister during his first day tour in Nyeri County on Friday, Governor Mutahi Kahiga stated that the Mount Kenya residents do not want to hear about what happened in the past since they already know, and it was time to speak about the present and the future.

Kahiga argued that Raila should reveal what he is panning to give to the residents if they support their presidential bid, dismissing of how Raila says he helped Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki and his handshake with Uhuru Kenyatta.

Speaking in Nyandarua during Deputy President William Ruto's tour, Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwah supported Kahiga stating that gone are the days people used to rely on history, and now Mt Kenya residents and Kenyans at large want a leader who will offer solutions to their problems.

"As residents of Mount Kenya, we do not want to hear the history about what Raila did with Kibaki. We all know who gave Kibaki a hard time during his time in office. We also know who insulted President Uhuru Kenyatta the most, we will not elect such a person, we are behind William Ruto," said Ichungwah.
