
Recount and scrutiny of votes cast in the governor's race started yesterday amid anxiety.
The process, which is expected to take two weeks, was ordered by the elections court hearing a petition challenging governor Amos Ayaribo's victory. The Nyamira Governor Amos Ayaribo vied through Azimio La Umoja one Kenya coalition party during the August 9 general elections.

He will be hoping that the numbers to votes he got during the August 9 general elections Remains the same after the recount if not he stands the chance of losing his seat.
The exercise target sex polling stations whose results have been contested yesterday, judiciary and the independent Electoral and Boundaries commission IEBC officials began the vote counting at the IEBC office today.
The Petitioners told the court that Governor Amos Ayaribo rigged the elections in six polling stations which are his strongholds during the August 9 general elections.

It's now a matter of wait and see what happens in the weeks if the court will affirm his election or not.
