Today has a history making day in Kenya after the president His Excellency William Ruto by launching the Hustler Fund. This was one of the key pillars of president Ruto and deputy president Rigathi Gachagua when campaigning earlier this year.
And as promised, today has been the day to fulfill the promise. In a pompous event attended by Cabinet Secretaries and other government dignitaries, the hustler had the platform to show case their small business enterprises and also present their hardships to the president. Many congratulatory messages have been sent to president Ruto's administration both from Kenyans and also his cabinet ministers. Prime cabinet minister Musalia Mudavadi has been the latest to send his.
In a post in his official twitter page, the prime cabinet minister has expressed his gratitude to the president and Kenyans to embrace the move and improve our economy.
"The launch of the Financial Inclusion Fund “The Hustlers Fund” is a key milestone in creating an enabling environment that will push Kenyans who are at the bottom of the pyramid to a level where they will be able to access affordable credit at a single digit interest rate.
I call upon Kenyans to embrace this opportunity for it is a game changer in a move to bolster our economy for it to work for all Kenyans".
