Over the last few days, the police service has been on the receiving end of widespread criticism from every section of the political divide. This comes after Accusations that the Police service was being misused by the politicians to cause havoc during elections.
Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi has been at the center of most criticism with many Kenyans blaming him for allowing politicians to use the Police force for their own gain.
The chaos witnessed in the by-elections in Juja and Bonchari were the latest examples of misuse of the police service. Several leaders have come out to call out the police service for being misused by the politicians. MP Dydmus Baraza has become the next leader to call out the police service.
According to Dydmus, the Parliament needs to do something before the situation gets out of hand. According to the Tangatanga MP, a time will come where the police will break into the parliament arrest the speaker, and beat Members of Parliament for being independent.
