Photo: Manson Oyongo

Kisii county gubernatorial seat has attracted several leaders who are seeking to succeed current Orange Democratic Movement governor James Ongwae who has served his two terms.

Dagoretti North member of Parliament Simba Arati, Nyaribari Masaba member of parliament Ezekiel Machogu, former senator Chris Oburu, current senator Sam Ongeri and Kenya National Congress party leader Manson Oyongo have thrown their weight behind the race.

Manson Oyongo is currently alone after his running mate Alfred Ndemo left him, Alfred has since then joined Orange Democratic Movement aspirant Simba Arati and promised his full support towards the 9th August 2022 general elections.

Manson Oyongo has finally spoken about the matter, he says that he has heard news all over from media saying what he will miss is one vote from Alfred Ndemo, he says that his name will still be in the ballot on August and he will only be able to officially remove his name if he fails to be sworn in should he win the seat.

Thank you.
