We can draw a conclusion that there are no permament enemies in politics, we use the example of president William Ruto and Central Organization of Trade Unions boss Francis Atwoli. The two were bitter rivals in the general election campaigns, Francis Atwoli is on record several times saying that William Ruto was not going to be the president of Kenya.
Luck or unluck on Atwoli's side, William Ruto is now the fifth president of Kenya. Francis Atwoli seems to have changed his stand too fast and decided to embrace Ruto's presidency. Francis Atwoli met with Ruto a few days ago and no doubt they buried their hatchet and decided to move on as friends.
Today president William Ruto has been in the Western region, the president arrived before COTU boss Francis Atwoli could arrive. Atwoli later arrived and William Ruto became the first person to stand up to welcome him, Ruto's bodyguard was the second to rise after which several others stood up, Atwoli proceeded to greet a few dignitaries before greeting Ruto.
