The Uasin Gishu Women Representative Gladys Boss Shollei in a live television interview today pointed out that the reason why UDA party was experiencing violence in their rallies was because they were very vocal on the ground and their competitor ODM party was not happy.
She alleged that the violence that was witnessed in Jacaranda in Embakasi East was organized by the area member of parliament Babu Owino. Shollei went on to say that even the rowdy youths were chanting Babu's name. She said that this was unacceptable.
The Ruto diehard proceeded to note that when the former prime minister Raila Odinga visited Uasin Gishu county where he had a political gathering, no one organized youths to disrupt his meeting. Therefore it was wrong for what happened yesterday she added.
She finally said that what many people did not know was that UDA party had a very clear mechanism on how to do deal with individuals within the party who perpetuated violence. There was no way therefore UDA members would try engage in such acts.
