Only a few days after demanding to be designated the Azimio One-Kenya coalition's flag bearer in advance of the impending national elections in 2027, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has now received a significant stunner.
Kalonzo Musyoka won't be permitted to succeed Raila Odinga if he steps down, according to reports. According to Hon. Barack Muluka, Kalonzo's only option is to join President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza side, who spoke to Standard Digital on Tuesday.
If Kalonzo stays in the Raila-led Azimio group, Muluka continued, he risked becoming politically irrelevant in the ensuing years. He further asserted that if Raila were to pick Kalonzo as his successor, the ferocious guys that follow him around won't support such choice.
Kalonzo's sole option is to locate a political organization that can guarantee him a future political support base. This occurs shortly after Hon. Edwin Sifuna, Secretary General of the ODM party, stated that Kalonzo's demands to Raila will not be heeded and that it is too early to start talking about the year 2027.
