Deputy President William Ruto has today denied the call by mount Kenya Region foundation made up of tycoons, Politicians and businessmen to interview presidential candidates so that they can choose their favorite candidate.
Speaking while addressing residents of Nyahururu Town,the deputy president has Slammed the move and said that it is uncalled for and only the common mwananchi can decide on who to vote for.
Ruto said that the only way is through the ballot which is done on the ground and not in hotels and board rooms.
"For me I want to ask you,is the president elected in board rooms and hotels or here on the ground? It you who decides who to vote for and not those gentlemen in hotels conducting interviews. So those people who are in hotels let us tell them to decide on their own fate," Ruto said.
His statement was directed to the mount Kenya Region foundation leaders,who have already Conducted interviews for orange Democratic movement party leader Raila Odinga and the one Kenya alliance chiefs in a view to pick a candidate who will protect and favor their interest.
