Former MP Sends Message To Elgeyo Marakwet Aspirant Who Lost Narrowly To UDA Candidate

Former Mukurweini Member of Parliament Honourable Kabando Wa Kabando has now send message to defeated Elgeyo Marakwet county senatorial aspirant Tim Kipchumba.

Taking to his Twitter account on Friday evening, the former powerful legislator divulged that the aspirant who closely came second to United Democratic Alliance party flag bearer William Kisang in the recently concluded by-elections performed well.

According to the former lawmaker, Tim who was vying on a PPD party ticket was fighting against the strong wave of UDA and his performance indicates that he has a great political future.

"Congratulations Kipchumba. That was a great fight, against a tornado! Your future in national leadership is definitely bright. Kudos. Hongera. Sustain your focus, resilience. Best wishes,"said Kabando Wa Kabando.

The sentiments by Kabando Wa Kabando came after Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declared former Parliamentarian William Kisang as duly elected Senator of Elgeyo Marakwet.

Kisang won with 41,378 votes while the youthful politician Tim Kipchumba came second with 38,151 votes in a race that attracted six candidates.

The seat was left vacant after its Immediate holder Honourable Kipchumba Murkomen was appointed by President William Ruto to serve as the Transport Cabinet Secretary.

The CS was leading the campaigns of the UDA candidate.
