The Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru has played down the Azimio La Umoja Movement led by the Orange Democratic Party Leader Raila Odinga, claiming that the Mt. Kenya is locked with the Deputy President William Ruto.
During a morning show at Kameme Tv, Waiguru claimed that currently, the deputy president William Ruto is enjoying over 82 % support in Kirinyaga County. She said that the people of Mt. Kenya have said no to Raila Odinga's Azimio La Umoja.
Waiguru said that Mt. Kenya people owe William Ruto a promise which they made together with President Uhuru Kenyatta during previous campaign. Explaining her reasons to decamp from President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party, Waiguru said she listened to the ground.
Waiguru Decamped from Jubilee few months ago joining the United Democratic Alliances linked to the Deputy President William Ruto. The Mt. Kenya has been attracting many politicians, with The Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and William Ruto being the frontrunners.
