Deputy President William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga are locked in a bitter contest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Today, fans of the Kenya Kwanza Party gathered in Meru County to rally around their presidential candidate, William Ruto. Rubiri Shopping Centre in South Imenti, Kithirune Town in Central Imenti, the Kaguma Trading Centre in Central Imenti, and Chuguu Shopping Centre in North Imenti were among the places they visited on their journey.
Kindiki said to the citizens that he was the one who ripped up the piece of paper that contained Uhuru's agreement to give over power to Raila while he was speaking to the community. He went on to say that even after he had up hope of winning the election in 2017, they worked relentlessly to advocate for Uhuru.
Gachagua warned the citizens not to believe Uhuru and Raila when they pointed the finger of blame at them for the country's high cost of living. He asked locals to vote for the United Democratic Alliance candidate Mintika Linturi and Ruto, who has promised to reduce the cost of fertilizers.
