On Saturday, July 2, Gachagua addressed the crowd in Tharaka Nithi and praised Kindiki for rejecting the Head of State's bribe. He added that after the politician declined Uhuru's approaches, Kenya Kwanza felt it was appropriate to have him oversee the election on behalf of the alliance.
Additionally, he said that Kindiki and Ruto had been good friends and that they had both agreed that Gachagua should serve as Ruto's replacement during this election. He made the case that, if it was constitutionally possible, he would be willing to split the running mate post with the professor.
DP Ruto's presidential campaign was supported by Kindiki throughout the tour, who argued that it was the greatest option for the region's growth.
He requested that the community welcome Ruto and Gachagua with open arms while promoting the six-piece voting system.He said that Kenya Kwanza candidates should gunner votes from MCA to Governor to create a strong government.
