Big Blow To UDA And Ruto As Top Government Official Turns Down Top Job Offer By The Party

Deputy president William Ruto has been dealt a blow after top Nairobi county government official declined to lead his presidential campaigns.

Mohamed Salah who is currently the health executive at the Nairobi county government had been appointed by the United Democratic Alliance party to replace Ruth Ondicho as the deputy security general in charge of operations, he was also expected to be part of Ruto's campaign lead team.

According to sources, Mohammed stated that he could not take the position as it would create conflict of interest, he said that for now he is busy serving government and urged the party to communicate the same to the registrar of political parties.

Thank you for offering me the position. Unfortunately, I have decided to turn it down as it isn’t the right fit for me because I am a public officer." Read part of his statement.

"Kindly communicate the same to the Registrar of Political Parties. I wish you all the best in finding someone suitable for the position,” he concluded.
