Gideon Moi is currently in Kwale for a meet the people tour as the deputy president William Ruto held another meeting in Karen Nairobi where he meet leaders and small-scale traders from Lari who paid him a courtesy call in his official residence. As the race to the statehouse heightens up, the two leaders are keen at clinching the presidency.
While in Kwale Gideon Moi met up with delegates and officials of his Party KANU who deliberated on the statistics and possible outcome of 2022 when the country is headed to the next general election. It was agreed that more consultations need to be done.
On the other hand, Ruto has continued to push for his bottom-up model of leadership which he reiterated to the leaders who visited his premises. He reiterated his firm stand that it is the only solution that will bring change to the greater Mount Kenya region.
