
A recent poll by Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) showed that Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party presidential candidate Raila Odinga would win the August general elections.
This is after he beat deputy president William Ruto by 4% in the aforementioned polls where he poll where 39% of respondents said that they would vote for him while only 35% said they would vote for Dr Ruto.
However, the stats have been reversed this time round as a new poll by Radio Africa Group that is set to be published in full in tomorrow's edition of The Star newspaper indicate that DP William Ruto has finally taken the lead.
In the News brief, Kenya Kwanza alliance presidential candidate William Ruto is said to have scored highly with majority of respondents choosing him as their preferred choice for the country's top seat.
This comes slightly over one week after the two leaders selected their running mates for the August contest, Ruto picking Rigathi Gachagua with Raila Odinga going for Martha Karua.
