For years now Kanze Dena has been the State House Spokesperson after leaving her news presenter job at Citizen Tv. The media station is owned by Murang'a billionaire SK Macharia. Recently, President Uhuru Kenyatta, Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga and Hon. Kalozo Musyoka held a meeting at statehouse.
The meeting was supposed to calm tensions among the Azimio la Umoja camp over Raila Odinga's running mate position. Kalonzo and his supporters have this week argued that he should be given the running mate position or else he will seek other options. However, it has emerged that Uhuru and Raila during the meeting told Kalonzo to go slow on the issue or else he risks breaking the coalition.
After reports about the meeting got out, K24 staff who are under Mediamax tried to call Kanze Dena to enquire further, but she did not respond to their calls nor answer their text messages. One reason as to why she didn't pick their calls is that she probably wasn't in the meeting and wasn't furnished with any information from the attendees.
In addition to that, since the meeting touched on a very sensitive issue, she also felt that she is not the right person to divulge any information and let the political leaders do it themselves.
