Details emerging indicates that Governer Ann Waiguru who is defending her seat using United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket has forwarded the name of her competitor, Hon Wangui Ngirici, to IEBC requesting the Commission to block her from contesting gubernatorial seat in Kirinyaga county.
According to Ann Waiguru, Wangui Ngirici was involved in vandalizing her campaigns posters in Kirinyaga and should be barred because that reason which falls under integrity part.
Ngirici was Ruto's diehard supporter but she dumped UDA immediately after the entry of Waiguru into the party. She's vying for gubernatorial seat as an independent candidate.
This comes at a time when report indicates that Former Nairobi Governer Hon Mike Sonko and Former Kiambu Governer Hon Ferdinand Waititu might be blocked from contesting any elective seat because of their earlier impeachment.
Kapseret MP Hon Oscar Sudi is also among those who are likely to be barred because of integrity issues. Share this article with your friends and remember to follow us in order to receive more updates.
