In a social media Video shared by K24 television, deputy president William Ruto has come out to reveal to the country what his opponents are planning against him as the country heads into next year's general elections.
While attending a fundraiser for a muslim university in Garissa county, the deputy president stated that there are people who are going round the country urging politicians to register ethnic political parties.
He wondered why they are plotting against him by registering many political parties while at the same time preach national unity which he said is ironic in itself, as national political parties are the only way to ensure that national unity prevails.
His comments did not sit well with a majority of kenyans who reacted, many blasting him bitterly for rushing to blame regional political parties. Some speculated that Ruto's tricks have simply run out and that he is only looking for excuses.
Kevin: This guy now wants to tell us that parties cause divisions of people? Come on! It is people who divide people. If a party can divide people, what are we then going to do with our tribes that God gave us? Can we form one big tribe?
Odero: This guy is not right upstairs. What does he take people for? Lies without blinking!
Alfred: Your bag of tricks is running empty,by march next year you will be blaming even your own wife and children.
