Prof. Makau Mutua is a Kenyan born lawyer who practices law in United States of America and often involves in activities of the country. Mutua who is a great friend to ODM party leader Raila Odinga has always wanted Kenyans to gift Odinga come 2022 general elections with presidency due to his political struggles. He has also been calling out the Tangatanga Mps to be true to themselves and what they want for the country.

He has called on youths to stop being wood winked into cheap politics and looted money to accept something that will not benefit them. He said after thorough deliberation he found it unfit to vie for the position since in Kenya the judiciary will and has never been independent. He gave an example of how former CJ's were controlled to make decisions from powerful people in the government. His statements supports that of Lawyer Ahmednasir who has always been calling on an independent judicial system.
