Oparanya Delivers Bad News to Raila Odinga, Reveals What Kakamega Meeting Was All About

Yesterday, a group of leaders from Western Kenya led by Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli, pitched a tent in Kakamega to discuss region's position in 2022.

And now Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, has delivered bad new to Raila Odinga, over claims that the Kakamega meeting endorsed Raila Odinga for presidency.

Oparanya said although he supports Raila Odinga for presidency, the discussions he had with Western leaders were purely on the interests of the region ahead of the 2022 General Elections.

"Obviously, being ODM deputy party leader,on my side I will support Raila Odinga for presidency, but people had different views. It was an open discussion but we never came out at once that we will support Raila Odinga," Oparanya said.

"We agreed to discuss more on 2022 till we come to an agreement on consensus. When we agree where we should go,then all of the region will follow that direction," Oparanya added.

Oparanya also said they picked Francis Atwoli as they head,to lead talks with presidential candidates to see, which one should have the support of Western Kenya.
