Meet South Rift Valley MP Whose Work Is Tremendous And Has High Chance Of Retaining Her Seat

The county legislator in south rift valley region,Bomet county Hon.Joyce Korir who hails from Bomet central constituency has left many of her political rivals mouth a cape following her tremendous and overwhelming development record in the said county.

Hon.Joyce Korir was elected into the said office in 2017 under the Jubilee party overwhelmingly by her electorates,the office which was earlier occupied by Hon.Cecilia Ngetich who hails from Chemagel ward in Sotik constituency within Bomet county.

In the period that Hon.Korir has been in the office of women representative,she has done alot to her residents,the development which has left many of her opponents to scratch their heads.

The vocal member of parliament in her tenure,she has supported over 200 Community Based Organization (CBO) across the county government of Bomet with 100 seater tents, hence it has improved the livelihood of the members of the said organization.

The vibrant leader has also extended her hands to over 200 mama mbogas by providing them with umbrellas so as to enable them carry on with their business effectively.

Korir has also constructed over 60 shades for the small entrepreneur across the county, which includes, Mogogosiek,Boito,Kapkwen, Kapkoros, Silibwet among other shopping centres within her jurisdiction.

In her manifestos during her campaigns,the Bomet women representative had promised to sponsor many youths in Bomet county to acquire skills for the betterment of their lives.

In that regard,the workaholic legislator,has sponsored over 200 students in her jurisdiction, among the sponsored students who acquired their skills at National industrial Training Authority 25 of them specialised in textile production.

The outspoken leader honarable Korir has further sponsored over 200 youths to be trained as drivers in one of the leading driving school within Kericho county.

Through her office,more than 1000 students have benefited through bursary fund, especially students who hails from a needy families.

The fearless woman of substance Hon.Korir has enable more than 25 youths ladies and gentlemen to join National Youth Service which after completion,the said youths will be sponsored in their field of choice depending on their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education performance,so far Bomet county MP has assisted more than 50 youths to acquire the job employment while othera have opted for self employment.

Korir told our correspondent that,more than 50 Community Based Organization are set to receive car wash machine which the organization will use to better their livelihood.

Hon.Korir uses the opportunity to call upon the public to ignore the rumours being spread using the fake account which carries her name and photo.

The women representative came out in the couple of days ago and distances herself from the said account 'Hon.Joyce Korir,Bomet county' according to Bomet women representative,the public are encouraged to consume the information shared through her official facebook account which is 'Hon Joyce Korir Bomet' only and ignore all other accounts allegedly associated with her.

Hon.Korir concluded by confirming that,her working relationship with the deputy president Dr.William Ruto is still on and she is firm in her decision and support to him as far the presidential race is concern.

"Am still supporting the deputy president Dr.William Ruto and nothing has changed,my political rivals are using the fake account to taint my name for their malicious gains," Hon.Korir said.

"I only have one official facebook account which is 'Hon Joyce Korir Bomet' hiyo ingine sijui," she added.

"My support for the deputy president is still steady and for those waiting for my defection will be in for a rude shock," Korir confirmed.

So far Bomet women representative has not declared publicly whether she will defend her current seat or not.
