"We will not follow Raila's order" Homabay residents differ with Azimio leader over demonstration.

After the Mega announcement made by Azimio leaders lead by their flag bearer Raila Odinga last few weeks at Nairobi, residents from different towns has been seen demonstrating as it was instructed by Raila.

On Monday Migori county Azimio supporters closed down main road heading to Tanzania through Isbania. They were demanding the government to lower the cost of living which they are claiming to be high since President Ruto took the power. The same demonstration was witnessed along Thika supper high way were a group of people joined Azimio One kenya alliance supporters in ongoing demonstration, unlike to Homabay county.

Homabay county is known by being the stronghold of ODM party but things nowadays has changed. Homabay residents have not joined azimio supporters in ongoing demonstration against high cost of living, something that has shocked some of the coalition leaders.

Homabay county residents on Monday evening explained the reasons why they have not join hand with others. Through the Homabay town youth leader, he explained that they have been campaigning againt the ongoing demon by mobilising youths not to take part on such demonstration.

He said that, all along they have been protesting against government since 2007 but Homabay have remained the poorest county in western part of kenya because there is no benefit they are getting from going against government.

He also added that Raila have been using his supporters for his own benefit but not considering Homabay residents for standing with him during hardship moments. They are now saying that they are not fools and they arge the people of kenya to stay calm and give the government of kenya time to deliver promises they made during election.

This announcement comes just a day after the luo council of elders in Homabay led by their leader Nyandiko, denied Raila's decision for calling anti-government protest. Their meeting was interrupted by Azimio supporters goons who beat them up including other nine reporters who were present by the time.

According to report, two have been arrested so far. Nyadiko also on Sunday arge the people of Homabay to remain calm so that they can receive government support during the press they had as luo council of elders in Homabay county.
