The nomination of Lady justice Martha Koome had setbacks and doubts from the beginning. The LSK Boss Nelson Havi tried to raise some of the key issues about her decision back in 2017 presidential petition. Activist called for the parliament to reject her approval but all that seems to not possible.

Amos Kimunya boldly warned chief justice Martha Koome that, the Judiciary cannot muzle and order what the parliament does. Amos Kimunya also warned the nominated CJ Martha Koome that If they do that then the Executive will deny the Judiciary money to run there activities in Judiciary. Amos Kimunya congratulated her finally for her nomination. Martha Koome is in trouble as her nomination comes at time when the country's political temperatures are high.
