In March 2018 the president and the ODM premier joined hands together, the relationship gave birth to building bridges Initiative which was not welcomed by all of the lawmakers.
The anti-BBI group went to court to stop the process as it was unconstitutional. Early May the High Court Declared the process as unconstitutional null and void. The BBI Secretariat moved to court of appeal to drop the high court judgment. The appellate court will pronounce itself on 20th August this year.
Despite the matter being in court, the BBI team is continuing to popularize it with the people. While in Kilifi County the president has called upon the area Residents to support it.
