On Friday evening, President William Ruto traveled through Kisumu County, where he was greeted by the local leadership.
Governor Anyang Nyong'o, the county boss of Kisumu, and other leaders have expressed their appreciation to the head of state.
This occurs just a few hours after President Ruto visited Homa Bay County and commissioned a number of projects there.
In the weeks leading up to and following the elections on August 9th, the president has not previously made a trip to Lake-side County. This is his first time doing so.
He was greeted warmly by Governor Gladys Wanga as well in Homa Bay.
Anyang Nyongo wrote in a post, "Karibu Kisumu Rais William Samoei Ruto."
Kenyans' social media responses to this have varied.
The manner in which leaders from Raila Odinga's camp have been interacting with the head of state appears to have impressed some Kenyans.
Below are the section of reactions from Kenyans.
