During the campaign period, William Ruto always promised to make life better for many Kenyans. He didn't promise to make things more difficult than they already were but after taking over government, many Kenyans especially farmers were shocked when his government announced that they would be bringing in the cheap GM maize in the country yet local farmers hadn't sold their maize.
That is something that caused a storm in the country including President William Ruto's Rift Valley region as people complained publicly but today, many Kenyans were left smiling ahead of Christmas holiday after they woke up to good news from President William Ruto's government.
According to the Daily Nation, the government dropped the good news of revising their previous decision of importing GM maize to next year. That means that local farmers have enough time to sell their their maize at a good price without competition, something that gives them a big boost.
