
Impeached Meru govenor is set to appear before the senate on 20th December 2022.The governor who was impeached by about 67 MCAs in the Meru county assembly has been at logger heads with the MCAs since she came into office.
She became controversial after she appointed her musical husband as the patron of the Meru Youth council and the head of all hustlers in Meru.Allegations have risen since the impeached governor has also been accused of emplying her sister as a bodyguard.
Senate speaker Amason Jeffah Kingi announced about Kawira Mwangaza's date with the senate through his official handle.He said the senate will have a special sitting in the senate chamber,main parliament buildings from 2:30 PM.
"On Tuesday 20th December, 2022, The Senate will have a special sitting in the Chamber as from 2.30pm to hear the charges against Hon Kawira Mwangaza, the Governor of Meru, as filed by the County Assembly of Meru," he announced.
