Kenyan Kwanza principal, William Ruto had received another big blow after the professionals from the Keiyo and Marakwet communities met in Eldoret where they made the declaration that they will support Rail Odinga presidency. These leaders argued that William Ruto had no plans to resolve challenges that people of Kerio and Elkeyo Marakwet are passing through.
Dr John Kibosia who is their Leader stated that they have endorsed Azimio leader Raila Odinga for the presidency, claiming that they believe it is only Odinga who would help resolve challenges in the region, especially banditry in Kerio Valley. "We know Odinga has demonstrated his commitment and love for this country and his choice of Martha Karua as a running mate makes them the safe hands for the leadership of this county," Dr Kibosia said. Furthermore, they also decided to support Elkeyo Marakwet governor who is competing with UDA aspirant and sitting senator, Kipchumba Murkomen. Members who were with Dr kibosia include, Deputy Speaker of the Senate Professor Margaret Kamar, CAS Linah Kilimo, and former Marakwet West MP Boaz Kaino among others. Dr Kibosia said they had discussed with Odinga and Karua on ways of solving the insecurity challenges in Kerio Valley.
