Currently, the ruling Jubilee party is a divided house, the party has got two functions, the team that supports president Uhuru Kenyatta and the one that is behind the deputy president Wiliam Ruto, the division came after Ruto's team were accused of disloyalty and undermining the president.
Ruto's team, the Tangatanga, would later form the United Democratic Alliance, a party that Ruto will likely use to vie for the Presidency. The team is focused in its preparation for the forthcoming general elections.
However, despite all these moves, the team is behind President Uhuru Kenyatta and wants to ensure he achieve on his agendas, this is according to Ruto's ally Hon. Kimani Ngunjiri, member of parliament for Bahati Constituency.
Ngunjiri has revealed that all the 13 parties that formed the UDA party agreed to support president Uhuru until his last days in the office, this is contrary to the perception that the team no longer supports the President.
