Samuel Arama was found guilty of abusing of office and using fraud means to acquire a plot of land which was a section of the Nakuru Town Municipality. The fraudment led to displacement of the sold owner Mr Muhammad Nisar Ahmed from the 6/95 block.
The Azimio candidate was also charged for conspiracy with four other people to defraud the complainant by disposessing him off the land between Aug 3rd 2015 and Aug 11th, 2015.
According to evidence presented by the prosecution, Arama forged a land sale agreement together with his co-accused cheating that it had been signed by Mr Yusuf Mustafah Ratemo.
The Member of Parliament has been given an option to pay 1.5 million kenyan shillings or take the 6 years jail term.
