Shortly after concluding his fellowship at Jesus Teaching Ministry Soweto Church, the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga took to the streets of Embakasi East Constituency in Nairobi for a rally to sell his agenda to Nairobians and popularize his 2022 Presidential bid.
He was being hosted by the area MP Hon. Babu Owino and in his first rally, he dropped a new song that thrashes Deputy President William Ruto and other members of his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
The song was a new version of Asha Abdow Bi Malika's classic "Vidonge" taarab song and since it had new lyrics, he had to teach his supporters how to sing it as their "special thank you" to DP Ruto whenever he gives them his millions.
He had started by saying that "when he brings his money to you, don't refuse to receive it. Take it with open arms because that's basically your money that he is bringing to you.
However, don't tell him thank you. Instead, sing for him this new song that I'm going to teach you and tell him that welcome again and bring more."
He then proceeded that the new song goes like;
"WanaUDA ni ni wajinga na werevu hawana. Ukiona wakilewa usidhani ni tajiri. Hiyo ni mali ya umma wameiba toka kwenu jamani.
Wape wape eee hiyo pombe yao. Wakilewa wakitapika ni shauri yao. Wape wape eee hiyo pombe yao. Wakilewa wakitapika ni shauri yao."
He then went ahead to say that what he's seeking is to see that this country maximizes its potential and realizes economic prosperity.
That should he succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta, he will make sure that each and every Kenyan child gets a better and free education from nursery to university and upon gradating, he or she ends up being engaged in meaningful jobs not pushing wheelbarrows.
That he also intends to seal loopholes in the government which are being exploited by corrupt State Officers to siphon public resources for personal benefits at the expense of the country's development.
Watch him speak at minute 15:00 of the video in the link below.
