Elgeiyo Marakwet senator Onesmus Kipchumba Murkonmen who is also a close ally of DP Ruto has changes his tune following the allegations that Turkish flamboyant businessman Harun Aydin was deported back to his country.
Taking to his official social media pages, Murkonmen has said that Harun Aydin was not deported as he had earlier claimed, but he was requested to leave the country voluntarily in order to settle things off. However, he added that the Kenyan government was under pressure from the Turkish government following the arrest of a businessman on Saturday after jetting back to Kenya from Uganda.
"Turkish Businessman Harun Aydin was NOT DEPORTED he was “requested” to leave the country “voluntarily” to help cool things off and for the desperados to save face. The truth however is that the pressure from Turkish government was unbearable.Questions were asked&answers are a MUST." He tweeted.
However in his earlier remarks he had said that, "I TOLD you.The desperados realizing the embarrassment they have visited upon themselves have decided not to charge Businessman Harun Aydin. They are ready to ruin our international relations&Foreign direct inve. in pursuit of petty politics. In the end they will ruin themselves"
