Daylight Drama In Busia After Deputy President William Ruto's Motorcade Is Stoned

Drama has been witnessed in Busia today, 23 October 2021 when some vehicles accompanying Deputy President William Ruto were stoned and destroyed by a section of the youths who were protesting against the deputy president's tour.

The youths were heard chanting ODM slogans as they attempted to block the DP’s motorcade at Korinda area on the Busia-Kakamega highway.

Motorists who were using the route found themselves counting losses with several of the vehicles pelted with stones thrown from the youths. Pieces of broken window glasses were scattered all over the road. The incident forced the deputy president to and his team to vacate for safety.

The DP William Ruto, then rerouted to Nambale Town, where he briefly addressed a roadside gathering condemning the heinous act pouring blame on politicians who use jobless youths to cause chaos during political rallies.

The DP and members of his entourage weren’t harmed in the chaos since the anti-riot police were on site and managed to cool the tension.
