The list of candidates for election to the East African Legislative Assembly has been released by the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition (EALA). The 15 nominees included a number of well-known figures, and the National Assembly and Senate will now vote to choose one of them.
Formerly nominated senator David Sankok, who retired from politics in July 2022, and Hassan Omar, who unsuccessfully ran for governor of Mombasa, are among the nominees. Salim Busidy, Yasser Bajaber, Lilian Tomitom, Cyprian Iringo, Jonas Kuko, Abdikadir Aden, and Falhadha Iman were also suggested by Kenya Kwanza for EALA positions.
Others include Rebecca Lowoiya, Godfrey Karobia, Joel Nyambane, Fredrick Charles, and Zipporah Kering. The coalition of Azimio la Umoja has released their list of six candidates in the meantime. Winnie Odinga, the daughter of ODM leader Raila Odinga, politician Suleiman Shahbal from Mombasa, Mohammed Diriye, Timothy Bosire, Beatrice Askul, and Justus Kizito are among them. Only 9 spots are up for grabs in the two camps for Kenya's delegation at the EALA. Please follow my page for additional articles, and thank you very much.
