Emily Compgano, an American attorney and Fox News journalist is under heavy criticism by Kenyans following her remarks Kenyan pregnant women voting.
In an undated viral video, she can be heard saying that American women enjoy better voting freedom than Kenyans.
She argues that in Kenya, expectant women can't leave their houses and so they do not vote. She added that in Oman, women have to vote to candidates their husbands do.
Her arguments were however wrong and misleading as the Constitution of Kenya 2010 states that every Kenyan has right to be registered as a vote, make free political choices and vote.
The journalist is a 42 year old and lives at New York. She was born in Oakland at the United States.
She studied law at the University of San Francisco and Bachelors of Arts at University of Washington.
In 2017, she got married to Peter Riley, a real estate agent and former data analyst.
