"Raila Must Be Denied Demos Permit," Says Senator As a Lawyer Claims Cherera Has Made a Mistake

Samson Cherargei, a senator from Nandi County, has urged that the government should no longer grant the former prime minister Raila Odinga a permit to stage protests as he had originally planned.

Cherargei pointed out that since Cherera's departure has put Raila's mass action in uncertainty, it shouldn't be permitted to proceed.

Additionally, he stated that since Raila was counting on Cherara and Nyang'aya's ousting, their action has left Raila in political darkness and confusion.

He suggested that because Kenyans are busy, the demonstrations should be postponed so they can focus on their economic pursuits.

Francis Nyangaya and Juliana Cherera's resignation is a serious error in judgment, according to attorney Muthomi Thiankolu.

The attorney is adamant that the two IEBC Commissioners should have waited for the accusations and hearings to be dropped before leaving because doing so would have implied guilt.

With things turning out this way what are your thoughts on the other two remaining commissioners, should they resign?
